Suwon reach FA Cup last-eight

South Korea FA Cup holders Suwon Bluewings progressed to the quarter-final of the 2011 edition with a hard-fought derby win over city rivals Suwon City Hall.

Oh Jang-eun scored the only goal of the game after 27 minutes to give the double AFC continental champions a place in the next round.

The competition winner also books a place in the 2012 Asian Champions League.

K-League champions FC Seoul won 1-0 at second-tier team Busan Transport Corporation courtesy of a goal from Server Djeparov at the end of the first half.

Last year's Asian Champions League winners Seongnam Ilhwa also made the last eight courtesy of a 2-0 win at Incheon United, while 2009 victors Pohang Steelers defeated Ulsan Mipo 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal from Mota.

K-League leaders Jeonbuk Motors lost 2-1 at home to Busan I'Park while Ulsan Horang-I won 2-1 against the visiting Sangju Sangmu.

Elsewhere, Chunnam Dragons defeated Jeju United 1-0 while Gangwon FC eliminated Daejeon Citizen after a penalty shootout.
